Well you're in luck because I am just the guy bored enough to try and explain to you what you need to do
The Basics:
Your Profile
Your profile page which can be found from the home menu. Your profile is broke up into a couple different sections so that it is easy to find what you are looking for. The first group of stats and info is the section called "Your ability info" and has your true stats and resources. The resources are how many "troops" that you have to fight, spy or defend with. As you defend, attack, or spy this number goes down. It is basses off of what servers you build and what level they are. The other numbers are your true stats.These numbers should be in the thousands, or if you are big enough the millions. These numbers are how strong your individual stats are whenever they are used to attack, defend, or spy with. When you attack, defend, or spy you lose some making your next attack or defense weaker. The stats are based off what types of servers you are using and the strength and number of "troops" left in the servers.
The next list of stats and info is called "your ally info". Here you will find a couple useful things. First is your owner. To keep your owner happy keep growing and raising your stats, and if you keep them happy maybe they will help you out with anything if you ever need it. If you are just starting you may change owners frequently, this in normal. The next thing on the list is your hire value. It is the cost that another player must pay in order to buy you. Whenever you are bought you are given a percent of the money spent on you which caps at 1,000,000 gold somewhere near a hire price of 100 million. The next stat is the max gold bonus you give to allies which is little importance to you but later when you are buying ally's yourself their gold bonus becomes important to you. That will be explained later.
The next grouping of stats is the stats that you give to your owner and the stats that you receive from your allies. Whenever you buy an ally or you are bought by someone a percent of their stats are given to the buyer as a semi permanent bonus to there stats. As long as you/they own the ally you receive the benefit and this bonus is not reduced by troop counts! All of your allies bonuses are placed in the category's called "bonus from allies". Usually it is suggested to have these bonuses at about 10% of your max stats but you can keep them however high or low you want. The stats labeled "bonus to allies" is the stat bonus that you give to your owner. The higher these are the more desirable you are to have as an ally. As you build more servers these stats will grow. (these stats are 1/50th of your max stats for anyone who wants to know)
The last few subjects in your profile are just little information that is of little importance. Your hack history just show how many wins in hacks, spying, and missions you have. Your achievement are just that, the list of the achievements you have accomplished. And permanent items are the list of the item you chose at the start of the game and any pro packs that you bought.
One last thing I forgot to mention about your profile is that when you enter it and look to the right of your name you will find a button called "wall". This is the place where other users can write you messages. Check it every so often to see if anyone has
Your stats
So now that you know where to find all your stats here is all their uses and meaning. There are three different categories of servers in the game and each has a different use. There are Operation servers, Spy servers, and Operation/Spy defense servers. All but the defense servers provide you with resources which you use to do missions, hack, or spy in the game. The used of Defense servers will be explained later.
Operation servers give resources which boost your attack and defense stats. When you hack, do a mission, or get hacked you lose some operation server resource. Operation resources regenerate once every five minutes.
Attack:
Used as the primary means for make money in the game. You use this stat by "hacking" other players or also used for completing missions. To access either of these go to the home menu and click on whichever you would like to do. Both will be gone more into depth later. Hacking makes more money than missions so long as you can find people who you will win against. The higher your attack stat is, the more money you receive for each successful hack. As you attack or do mission and use up all your resources, the less powerful each proceeding attack will be, till it reaches 0 when you have no resources left.
Defense:
When you are hacked by another player your defense is the stat that determines wither you lose the fight or not. The higher it is the higher the chance you have to defending against an enemy hack. As you lose resources due to defending hacks, or hacking other your defense stat will go down making you more vulnerable to hacks. Even if you do not successful defend a hack your resources will still go down
Spy servers give you your spy resources which you use to spy on opponents and that is all they are used for. When you spy on an opponent or are spied on by an opponent you lose spy resources. Spy resources regenerate once every 5 minutes.
Spy Attack:
Spy attack is the stat that governs the use of your three spy moves, sniffing, backdoor, and DoS. The lower your spy attack is the, the higher your chance for failure of one of those is. When you successfully spy a target it does not show that it was you who hit them.
Spy Defense:
This is the stat that determines wither a spy attack is successful on you or not. The higher your spy defense stat is the better your chance is to defend. As you defend against spy's and use your spy's opponents your spy defense goes down as well.
Your Servers
So now that you know what stats affect what it is time for you to pick which servers you will use. There at 3 different types of server, operation, spy, and defensive. I am going to start off talking about the operation servers. There are 3 different categories of operation server attack, defense, and balance. They can be told apart by the amount of stats they give to you. There are 4 different tiers of each server and each tier had 3 levels. Each category has it own advantage over the others.
Attack Servers:
This gives the most attack resources over the other too, but at a cost of some defense stat at higher tiers. These buildings are good for starters as having a high attack is very helpful when trying get money, as attack is our main money making stat.
Balance Server:
This server will give you a balanced amount of attack and defense resources, and a few extra resources so you may attack or do a mission a couple extra times. These few extra resources will stack together to make the extra moves more powerful and not add even more extra moves if you have more than one.
Defensive Server:
This server gives a powerful defense bonus. Along with this defense bonus it gives an increased amount of ally bonus gold received from hacking other people. These are very good for defending yourself against other people as a high defense is a good way to ward off hackers.
Time to talk about Spy servers. There 2 different spy servers but most players will not see the second one for a long time. The server presumably has 4 tiers but I won't know till we get some higher stats. Each spy server increases your spy resources which in turn increase your spy attack and defense. Spy building give high bonus ally gold per server but as there are no ofs in this game yet any heavy spy build would be slow to build and hard to use.
The last type of server is the defense server. There are 2 different types of defense server, one normal and one spy, and each type has 2 different ones. Defense towers give a large permanent increase to your defensive stats. These servers give no resources so there is no risk of your defensive stats from them to ever go down. It is similar to how ally stats work except you do not have to worry about them being bought away. The only disadvantages to defensive towers are they give no attack bonus and they give no bonus ally plunder.
HOW TO MAKE MONEY:
So you come this far. You know all about what servers you want and how you want your build but one problem, you don't have any money. Well fear not my friend I am about to tell you how!
Hacking (aka attacking)
Hacking is by far the fastest way to make money. When you hack an enemy you get a large sum of gold and they lose some. The higher your attack and the higher your opponents stats are the more gold you will receive. The trick is to find someone to hack who has lower defense than you have attack. The more that you hack the lower your resources get, and in turn the weaker your attacks become, so try not to over do it or you will start losing. There are ways to check and see if you have a good chance of winning against them other than looking at their profile page and that will be covered in little bit.
If you chose hacking to be your way to make money be careful, those people who you hack can hack you back. You also lose more resources when you hack them then they lose when defending against you so that person who you may have been stronger than a few hacks ago may now be much stronger than you when you have less resources.
Spying
Along with hacking there is spying. Spying is accessed the same way that hacking is, through the hack menu. All of your spy moves success is dependent on your spy attack stat. Every time you spy on someone or you are spied on you lose some spy resources making it harder for you to spy and easier to be spied on. The benefit to spying over hacking is that certain spying actions do not revile to your opponent who hit them. There are 3 different spy moves you can do to someone and each has a vastly different effect.
Sniffing:
When you sniff a person it shows you the present chance you have to win against them if you were to hack them and what servers they are using. Most times before you hack someone you are unsure you will win against you should sniff them first. The higher the present, the better chance you have to win. This action uses the least amount of spy resources of all 3 and has a greater chance of success than the other 2.
Backdoor:
Backdooring allows you to steal some of the enemy's gold. The amount of gold you steal is a fixed amount based off of how high your spy attack stat is, the higher it is, the more gold you get.
Dos:
When you DoS a person you are cutting them off from their resources. It "kills" some of their operations and spy severs resources weakening them and making it easier for you to hack and win against them. This is suggest if you have a low present to win from your sniffing.
Missions:
The last option you have to make money is to do missions. The missions sheet is located on the home page. You start off with 3 missions and then get more as you complete them. Each new mission in harder than the last but gives more gold. Don't worry if you lose a few, you will always have a chance to lose. just stay on one that is classified as difficult or less. This is an ok way to make money when you are weak and it doesn't make anyone want to hack you back
OMG I'M OUT OF RESOURCES AND CANT ATTACK OR SPY!!!!!!!
Don't worry they recharge. Every five minutes you get some more. It takes one hour for a full resupply (hour and 5 minutes if you have a balanced server) so just come back later and do it all over again.
Also on a small side note, as long as you are under 20% of your total resources you can not be hacked or spied, depending on which one is below the 20%. Also from all attempts I had made you can't spy on someone who has no spy servers, but that just may be my luck, let me know if this is not true.
As you grow you will find more people hacking you and it is harder for you to hack others. This is where items from the shop come into play. You can buy different items that will boost one of your stats by a set amount for one use. There are many items for each of the 4 stats. The Attack and Spy attack items are used by doing one of the respective moves then it will prompt you if you want to use one. The defensive and spy defense item are automatically used when you are attacked or spied on. Use them as needed but I do not recommend them till you have decent stats that can support the money required to purchase them.
Allies
The last thing you need to know about is allies. These are people who you hire and get a semi permanent bonus to your stats and an increase to the amount of bonus gold you earn when you hack someone. Ally can be bought and sold all the time so watch your news to see if any of your allies are hired from you. Oh and don't buy my allies
